Thanks for having me! Sorry I took so friggin long. I really wanted to only count the double unders that I actually succeeded with, but then it became too frustrating and was taking me way too long to complete. PS. My whip marks make me look cool and badass :P

PPS. Why is it my shins hurt after I do double unders? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Shiela - was great to have you join us for a session! Those whip marks do look hardcore, good luck explaining those to your workmates tomorrow!

Your shins are most likely sore from your calves being tight. Try get a massage of your calves and lower legs and you should get relief. Also jump on the rollers in the morning and roll out the side of your legs will help loosen them up.

Thanks Doug :) By the way, you should see the marks now. I cant stop laughing at them because now there is this massive dark bruise in the middle of these red welted whip marks. Its hilarious. I have no idea how I caused so much damage. Definitely need to work on that...

Fitness in 100 words

  • “Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ”
